I dislike it, though the games are fun, but it seems like the only way to enjoy this game is to pay 60-70 dollars a year just to buy clothes and furniture. Sometimes it can make you feel excluded. Without paying 5 dollars a month you can't buy ANY clothes, ANY furniture, and NO extras. Also, you can't go into secret rooms for the parties every month.

What Parents Need to Know
About ClubPenguin
Parents need to know that this site is an enjoyable and safe introduction to the world of avatars and social networking. But kids get on and play for hours so ground rules about how much time is appropriate need to be set early and often. We recommend parents sit down with younger kids to a) help them to communicate kindly and b) explain how to deal with the not-so-friendly behavior that can also occur and which could be upsetting to kids who don't know how to deal with rejection and/or bullying just yet. For added security, human monitors are watching, and kids can click on an "M" icon to report a "bad" penguin. While kids can play for free, if you are a paying member you can buy additional things like clothing and furniture for their igloo. There's also a "Club Penguin Shop" that sells non-virtual goods like shirts, hats, and keychains. There's a prescripted chat and a filtered open chat. The thorough parents section helps adults navigate the site's features, and parents can view their kid's account and change settings.

Families Can Talk About
- Families can talk about chat etiquette, Internet safety, and virtual worlds. What's the best way to approach a new person online? Why would someone be mean to someone he or she never met? What can you say or do if another penguin (or real-life person, for that matter) is mean to you? Why is using words a good way to deal with a conflict? What social behaviors is a virtual world teaching? Do you think networking sites help build good relationships? Why or why not? How would you make friends offline?

This website is Awesome but its unfair
Lives in OhioI rate this title on for age 7 and give itcontinued to what I said before:
There is NO bad word filter. you cannot say numbers, those old :) / :( Faces, all the punctuation you can say is: . ? !; but the filter needs to be better. because you can say cuss words. everyone will see it, and yet you get banned. on Whyville there IS a bad word filter, you do not get in trouble for being mean, (instead there is a silencing and vaporizing action) and you would mostly get in trouble for doing these: Buying/selling/giving away accounts; asking/ giving out password, asking for personal information, and getting around their bad-word filter. you can still go on whyville, because you are not banned for a number of days, in a way you cannot go on at all, but you get taped, which means you have limited chat for a number of days. if you did something like break a really bad rule on whyville, or breaking a rule about ten-fifteen times, you get banned. Whyville is more interesting. although most kids 10+ would know the site better. Club Penguin is just a Let-Down.
