It's very funny and well-acted, and I found it difficult not to like.

What I love now
I am a huge movie adict, especially American classics of the 40s and 50s, and New Hollywood films of the 70s and early 80s. I also like several foriegn films. My favorites include The Grapes of Wrath, Fantasia, Barry Lyndon, La Jetee, and Sunset Blvd.
My Parents’ House Rules
I guess my parents let me watch just about anything, though I don't have the tastes most teenage boys my age do. I prefer slow-moving and thoughtful classics to bloody and violent horror movies.

DVD: 25th Hour

Practically redefines what we think of prison.

DVD: Schindler's List
I rate this titleonand give ite.g. Perfect for older kids, but not for tweens
It's too morally simplistic and a little too mainstream to really be a masterpiece, but it is very, very good.

DVD: The Silence of the Lambs
I rate this titleiffyand give ite.g. Perfect for older kids, but not for tweens
It's very insulting to homosexuals, and much of Hannibal Lecter's magical brilliance remains unexplained and somewhat impossible. Still, it is an improvement on the horror films of the 1980s.

DVD: Goodfellas
I rate this titleoffand give ite.g. Perfect for older kids, but not for tweens
Good if somehwat overrated, Martin Scorsese here sacrifices emotional form for technical mastery, and it works.

DVD: Driving Miss Daisy
I rate this titleonand give ite.g. Perfect for older kids, but not for tweens
Hopelessly politically correct.

DVD: Milk

Nothing more than a showcase for Sean Penn's star power.

DVD: Unforgiven
I rate this titleonand give ite.g. Perfect for older kids, but not for tweens
It's quite great, and one of Clint's best films (only Million Dollar Baby is better).

DVD: Thumbelina
I rate this titleonand give itIt is completely fine for all ages (though I'm sure only kids four and up will be really interested). However, I'm not sure if anyone older than, let's just say, nine will actually care. I rarely say ...

DVD: March of the Penguins
I rate this titleonand give itOMG PENGUINS!!!!!!!!! AND MORGAN FREEMAN!!!!!!!!!

DVD: Some Like It Hot
I rate this titleiffyand give itIt's far from the funniest movie ever made, which many critics call it, but it isn't really a bad one by far.

DVD: Dances with Wolves
I rate this titleonand give itOne certainly has many bones to pick with Kevin Costner's directorial debut, but somehow it's great and hard not to love. It's also a clear improvement from the rascist portrayals of Native Americans ...

How do you manage your kids' pop culture obsession?
Your Comments:I'm 15 right now and I agree, just ignore it and the obsession goes away. For example, I used to love Star Wars, now I despise it. How about, as they get older, you try and get them interested in more intellectual stuff? They could get obseesed over something that makes them smarter, so both sides are happy.
