What Parents Need to Know

About Teen Titans

Parents need to know that, if kids are affected by prolonged battle scenes, this show isn't the best bet for them. In fact, little else happens in this show besides violent confrontations. Sure, it's made in the martial arts tradition, where little blood is shown, and skill in battle is rewarded. Sure, it's a super slick cartoon full of dramatic shadows, gothic images and amazing graphics. Sure, your kid is going to want to watch it. But be aware that this show is all about the fight scenes.

Do you think these fight scenes are intended only to entertain, or are they trying to teach you something about strength, honor, teamwork, and tradition? Does it make you want to learn more about the martial arts? What do these fighters have in common with more traditional superheroes, and how do they differ?

Perfect for all ages exspecially ages 6-14.

Parents need to know that this series can sometimes be a bit violent:A girl tries to do good everywhere she goes but ends up hurting ppl..betrays her friend by spieing on them for 50yr.old man and steals their secrets during her 5 weeks with them, she purpoussly intends on killing/hurting her friends 3-6 times. When sshe fails to kill them the mad 50 yr.old man pimp slaps her and physically abuses her...he then takes cntrl of her body and forces her to kill her friends...the girl takes back her body and tries to kill/stop/hurt the man and mistakelly causes a volcano..the girl uppercuts(punches) the man into the lava and kills him,she takes it upon herself to stop the volcano and in the end she ends up turning herself into stone(a statue) due to her stopping the volcano. She son comes back at the end of the series and fakes amnesia and leads a happy life, though parents need to know that she was based off a charecter on the shows comic counterpart(The new teen titans)who killed herself in an attempt to kill everyone on earth. This show is kid friendly anfd aimed at 6-12 yr.olds...overall,a great show for kids to grow up with!

    Good show for kids

I watched one episode and thought that the female characters were considered as strong as the male, which is refreshing for a show nowadays.
