Engaging and educational
I have two children, a 2 year old and a 5 year old. They both love the program. It teaches letters, numbers, social lessons and spanish. I couldn't be more pleased with it's content.

Great
thoght this does contain some iffy humor and mild comedy violence and some bad attitude its a great show for younger preschoolers. They could be smarter then average when the enter kindergarted. even older kids like this show!

Can't go Wrong with this classic
I absolutely adore sesame street. It engages my four year old, makes me crack up and has tons of interactive, educational material. It is, of course, imperitive to reinforce all of this with educational play but the show itself is wonderful.

Great for 2 to 22!
This program continues to be quality television! While my five year old has out-grown Elmo, he continues to be engaged by the rest of the program. Really good stuff!

Lessons for all ages
The best part of Sesame Street is that it cares about kids of all ages and circumstances. It helps everyone deal with each other and shows the best way to interact with peers and all other ages. It helps children get rid of inhibitions and shows them that it GREAT to be different. You can't find such great content on any commercial network.

I've loved Sesame Street for years
I watched Sesame Street as a child, and while there are new people and new puppets, the fun and positive messages are still there.

A few bad examples checker a generally good product.
While the real characters an big bird are sympathetic some of the others are unkind in the name of being funny. Very young kids are succeptible to these bad examples of behavior. Oscar the grouch is mean to people and laughs at their misfortune. Ernie is soumetimes tricking others and laughing about it. Cookie monster (beloved) is focused entirely on cookies. I know the show has done a lot of good, but I think they innclude some humor that's more appropriate for 10 year olds than 2-4 year olds. I'd rather have my daughter watch something else and learn to read with me. Between the lions is a much more appealing show for beginning readers.

Classic
This show is a classic and it is a timeless show. The reason it works for me as a parent. It's diversity, educational value, and it does teach while the child is having fun. My son learned most of his speech from this show and it something he looks forward to watch everyday. My daughter is 21 months and she is just as glued to it as my older child. I think it should be required t.v watching for childern in there preschool years. :)

GREAT FOR TEACHING KIDS ABCS AND MATH!
I'm a teenager, and I LOVE this show. And this is coming from a guy that watches Ren and Stimpy. Education: Teaches kids the alphabet, and how to count. Positive messages: Messages of tolerance are frequent, especially with Bert and Ernie, which teach kids that there's nothing wrong with being gay, which is important in our homophobic world. Sexual: No problems, unless you're a homophobe.

Its very sutible for children, and I remember watchign it until I was like 7. :] Elmos world was always a favorite part of mine:) If i had to pick something that isnt suitible for kids...its that they let the strangers through elmos door..But children don't even udnerstand that--so its fine! :) Favorite Street!

My Favorite Street!
Sesame Street is really good for babies, preschoolers, and the teens/parents who watch it with them! There's nothing bad! Besides, it teaches little kids and there are cultural references that teens and adults can enjoy (Desperate Houseplants for example!). People any age can watch Sesame Street, but don't tell anyone in middle/high school that you watch it if you're a teen! I <3 Elmo! Watch Sesame Street! Bye!

Classic!!!
Ever since 1969, Sesame Street has entertained kids (preferably preschoolers) for nearly half a century. The original Sesame Street was not only educational, but hysterical at times. The more modern, updated Sesame Street is still hilarious (thanks to Mr. Noodle), and as always, EDUCATIONAL FOR ALL (along with Mister Rogers' Neighborhood (not to mention the episode with Big Bird in it), ZOOM, and Reading Rainbow). Still, a lot of other shows (like Barney (with the addition of Riff and Barney's Toons), Arthur, Dragon Tales, Between the Lions, Clifford, Sagwa, Cyberchase, Dragonfly TV, Piggley Winks, Big Big World, Nanalan', Franny, etc.) are getting even better! WAY TO GO PBS KIDS!!!
