What Parents Need to Know
About Dora the Explorer
Parents need to know that Dora is a bilingual communicator who can speak with all of the critters and humans in her vicinity. Some of the language lessons may rub off on kids -- but other viewers might get bored. Since phrases are constantly repeated, parents may want to consider whether they want their kids to be repeating the same episodes all day. The series offers good exposure to language, culture, and creativity.

The Perfect Show
Dora is an incredibly vulgar show. Dora regularly calls her companions "motherf---ers" and she also pulls a gun on whoever dares to question 'why the f*** she is doing this'. Also, there is lots of innuendo and sexual references. They're barely trying to hide it, and it seems like they're not trying to keep clothes on. Plus, there is tons of bloody, gory, violence, especially in one particular scene when Dora shoots her companion Boots with a Glock custom pistol shown in episode No. 250. Also, there have been several scenes in which Dora has been seen smoking marijuana, and furthermore scenes where she encourages kids to do the same. Also, she is regularly seen downing malt scotch. Also, Boots himself has been caught saying 'Shove it up your a--, Dora', Dora's backpack has been caught singing 'Motherf---er' to the tune of the Ghostbusters theme. Lastly, Swiper himself regularly shoots people with a sniper rifle, all the while wearing hunting gear in what he calls 'Dora Season'. Swiper has also been known to smoke weed, marijuana, and tobacco all at the same time. All in all, Dora is a horrendous show with absolutely no redeeming value in any way.
