What Parents Need to Know
About The Boondocks
Parents need to know that even though this show is a cartoon, it's meant for adults, hence its place in the Adult Swim lineup on the Cartoon Network. Younger kids will miss the sociological context that is critical to understanding both the humor and the insight in this cutting-edge show. The most potentially eyebrow-raising part of the show is the language. In nearly every episode there are multiple uses of the "N" word.

I'm suprised that it's rated PG in Canada(on the DVD), it can be fairly raunchy at times. There is some violence(usually without blood), sexual content and profanity including the N-word. It's actually an intelligent spoof on african-american culture and I think it's a great show.

you parents are all... ugh. the boondocks is one of my favorite anime shows. it is FUNNY!!!! parents should just... go away. god. listen... it might have a cuss words, and sex, and violince but it is very awesome and i really like it. they are very funny.

im black, but i dont say nigga they use it a lot but extremly funny nice anime influenced show HUEY RULES i watched it at 11 so :)
