The Fat Albert character is played well by SNL vet Kenan Thompson. It's not neccessarily disposable because kids will remember Thompson's humurous preformance.

What Parents Need to Know
About Fat Albert
Parents need to know that this movie is downright innocent and good hearted. There's nothing of concern even though the high school setting will make it more interesting for tweens. This is a movie older and younger siblings can see together (although parents, you won't be too interested...).

Disgusting
Hey, if you want your kid to think that it's alright to be a fat, good for nothing, well meaning, ignorant moron, then let them watch this movie.

REAL REVIEW NOT A HATE REVIEW
This is a cute, funny movie that has such a great message. There is no language, innapropriateness, or violence at all and it is a very funny movie. It also is a great story, a girl (Kyla Pratt) who discovers confidence and a great friend, Faaaaaat Albert.

You're Kidding, Right?
I can not believe Bill Cosby would put his name anywhere near this film. The old cartoons were wonderful, this is nothing but a "moneygrab."

If you grew up with cosby or the cartoon series, then you'll love parts of it that will go over the kids' heads. My 6 year old loved it. we'll buy the dVD.

This was a GREAT movie!
I wasn't to sure about this movie, I thought it was going to be corny but it was really-really good. My daughter who is 6 enjoyed it and my mom was is 60 enjoyed it! My mother and I knew the characters and even though my daughter didn't she still liked it. You don't need to know them to like them. I will buy this. Great Fun Movie!

Hey Hey Hey This Movie was A OK!
The move was very good and exciting. I went to see it with my aunt and cousins aged 7 to 12. We all liked it. I don't think younger than 7 year old kids would really understand the movie. Words like "Yo" and "Wuz-up?" were used a little too much.

Good family film
I thought it was a bit slow, a bit boring, and poorly acted. BUT, it was a cute story line that the kids enjoyed. They add in a little of the old cartoon, so even the little ones were entertained. It has a nice theme that encourages kids to do their best. I wouldn't pay full price to see it--go to the matinee!
