What is the Family Media Agreement?
The Family Media Agreement is a checklist that parents can use to have conversations with their children about media use and to establish guidelines that are right for their family. Some families are comfortable using it as a signed agreement. Others prefer to use it simply as a checklist to guide conversations.
Who is this desgined for?
This Family Media Agreement is designed for families with elementary school age children.
How can schools use it?
Schools can use it as a complement to a technology/acceptable-use policy and as a way to strengthen home/ school partnerships. Distribute the agreement to students to take home to their parents or use it as a handout at a parent education event.
