What Parents Need to Know

About Gathering Blue

Parents need to know that though this book lacks the intellectual and moral complexity of its predecessor, The Giver, this still gives readers things to think about.

perfect to show kids how society truly is

Love it. i read it before my son, and i thought it would be a good book to show him that life isn't what it looks like.

I rate this title on for age 10 and give it 4.0

I thought this book was very good and had a good message. It didn't seem to have anything to do with The Giver, but maybe the third book will tie everything together.

    Good book

This book is quite good; there are diverse characters that overcome difficulty. There are mysteries of the Village that Kira (great role model) has to discover. But it is kind of slow at times. The plot occasionally lags. But it really is a great book.
